Terms of Use

These Terms of Use explain how Yoga Class Today works, what you can expect when using our site and services, and the rules that help keep our community safe and respectful.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Yoga Class Today, including our website at darkblue-trout-331762.hostingersite.com, our progressive web application, instructor tools, class listings, and related services. We refer to these services collectively as “YCT.”

Yoga Class Today is currently operated by Kyle James Hagel. In these Terms, “YCT,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Yoga Class Today and its operator.

By accessing or using YCT, you agree that these Terms apply to your use of the service. If you create an account, publish an instructor profile, or submit a class listing, you must affirmatively accept these Terms.

Effective date: September 11, 2026
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Version: 1.2

1. What Yoga Class Today provides

Yoga Class Today is a local class-discovery and listing service. Instructors use YCT to publish information about yoga classes they offer at studios, parks, community spaces, private businesses, and other locations.

In these Terms, “Class Provider” means an instructor, studio, business, organization, or other person or entity that offers or organizes a class listed on YCT. An instructor who publishes a listing may be the Class Provider or may be authorized to publish the class on a Class Provider’s behalf.

YCT organizes instructor-submitted information into a clear, local view. We do not automatically retrieve class listings from studio systems or third-party scheduling platforms. Listings are submitted and maintained by instructors or other authorized account holders.

YCT is not:

  • A yoga studio or instructor;
  • A healthcare or medical provider;
  • The employer, agent, partner, supervisor, or representative of an instructor, studio, venue, or other Class Provider;
  • A booking or payment processor;
  • A party to an agreement between a visitor and a Class Provider; or
  • A guarantor of any class, instructor, location, qualification, schedule, price, availability, safety, or result.

Unless YCT expressly states otherwise, displaying a listing does not mean that we endorse, certify, screen, or independently verify the instructor, studio, venue, or class.

2. Who may use YCT

Anyone may browse YCT’s public class listings without creating an account. We refer to people who browse or use public listings as “Visitors.”

You must be at least 18 years old to create or maintain an account, publish an instructor profile, or submit a class listing. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms.

YCT is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create accounts or submit personal information through YCT. If we learn that we have collected personal information directly from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

A Class Provider may offer a class intended for children, teenagers, or families. The availability of such a listing does not allow a person under 18 to create a YCT account. The applicable Class Provider—not YCT—is responsible for determining age suitability, obtaining required permission from a parent or guardian, and complying with laws and venue requirements that apply to classes involving minors.

3. Accounts and account security

Some YCT features require an account. When you create or maintain an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information;
  • Keep your account information reasonably up to date;
  • Protect your password and account credentials;
  • Not share, sell, transfer, or allow another person to use your account;
  • Not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, business, or authority; and
  • Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed or used without permission.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access to us. YCT may require you to verify your identity, email address, or authority to represent a Class Provider before allowing you to create, publish, or continue maintaining a profile or listing.

We may access account information when reasonably necessary to provide support, investigate security or policy concerns, moderate content, maintain YCT, or comply with legal obligations. Our collection and use of personal information are further explained in our Privacy Policy.

4. Visitor responsibilities

YCT helps Visitors discover classes, but class information can change. Before traveling to, paying for, reserving, or participating in a class, Visitors should confirm important details directly with the applicable Class Provider, including:

  • The date, time, and location;
  • Availability and reservation requirements;
  • Price, payment instructions, and refund or cancellation terms;
  • The class style, difficulty, and physical requirements;
  • Age restrictions and accessibility information; and
  • The identity and qualifications of the instructor.

Bookings, payments, cancellations, refunds, waivers, and participation arrangements are made directly between the Visitor and the Class Provider. YCT does not collect or hold class payments, issue refunds, or resolve disputes between Visitors and Class Providers.

Visitors should use reasonable care before sending advance payment or meeting someone for a private session. YCT does not screen class participants or guarantee the identity or conduct of anyone using the service.

If you believe a listing is inaccurate, outdated, fraudulent, unsafe, or otherwise inappropriate, please report it to YCT. A report does not guarantee a particular outcome, but we may review the listing and take action under these Terms.

5. Health, safety, and participation risks

Yoga and related activities involve physical movement and may involve heat, equipment, outdoor conditions, physical contact, or other circumstances that can cause discomfort, illness, injury, or, in rare cases, death. Risks vary depending on the class, location, instructor, and participant.

You are responsible for deciding whether a class is appropriate for you. Consider your health, physical condition, experience, and the class description before participating. If you have questions about whether an activity is appropriate for you, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

YCT does not provide medical advice, evaluate your health, determine whether you are able to participate, or supervise any class. Information about class intensity, difficulty, accessibility, instructor qualifications, and health considerations is supplied by the applicable Class Provider and is not independently verified by YCT.

By choosing to participate in a class discovered through YCT, you acknowledge and voluntarily accept the risks associated with that participation to the extent permitted by law. You are responsible for following appropriate instructions, using reasonable judgment, and stopping or seeking assistance if you feel unwell or unsafe.

A Class Provider may require you to sign a separate waiver, release, or participation agreement. That agreement is between you and the Class Provider. YCT is not a party to it, and these Terms do not replace it.

6. Instructor and Class Provider responsibilities

If you create an instructor profile or publish a class listing, you are responsible for the information and services you provide through YCT.

You agree that:

  • You teach the class or are authorized by the applicable Class Provider to publish and maintain the listing;
  • Your profile and listings are accurate, current, and not misleading;
  • You will update or remove a listing when its schedule, location, availability, price, or other material details change;
  • You have permission to offer the class at the listed studio, business, park, community space, or other location;
  • You will obtain permits, licenses, insurance, waivers, background checks, and other approvals required by applicable law, a venue, or the nature of the class;
  • You are qualified to teach the styles, populations, and difficulty levels you identify;
  • You will accurately describe age suitability, accessibility features, physical requirements, pricing, reservations, cancellations, and refund terms;
  • You will comply with applicable health, safety, employment, consumer-protection, privacy, and nondiscrimination laws; and
  • You will not use YCT to offer unlawful, misleading, exploitative, or unsafe services.

If a class is intended for children or teenagers, the Class Provider is responsible for appropriate supervision, required parent or guardian permission, and compliance with laws and venue requirements involving minors.

Class Providers are solely responsible for the classes and services they offer. YCT does not employ, supervise, direct, train, certify, or independently verify instructors or other Class Providers.

Instructor profiles and class listings are public. Information marked for public display may be viewed by anyone and may appear in search engines. Do not publish private, confidential, or sensitive information in a public field.

7. Content you submit

You may submit profile information, biographies, photographs, logos, class descriptions, schedules, links, payment instructions, and other content to YCT. We refer to this material as “Submitted Content.”

You retain ownership of your Submitted Content. By submitting it, you give YCT a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt for technical display, publish, display, distribute, and use the content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and promote YCT and your public listings.

This license includes permission to display submitted names, professional names, business names, logos, photographs, and likenesses. YCT may allow its hosting, storage, email, analytics, search, and other operational service providers to process Submitted Content only as reasonably necessary to provide services to YCT.

You represent that:

  • You own the Submitted Content or have permission to use and submit it
  • The content does not infringe another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights
  • You have permission from every identifiable person shown in a submitted photograph
  • You have parent or guardian permission for any identifiable minor shown in a submitted photograph; and
  • The content is accurate and does not misrepresent you, a Class Provider, a venue, or a class.

You may delete or request removal of Submitted Content, subject to YCT’s reasonable technical, legal, security, and recordkeeping needs. The license ordinarily ends when the content is removed from active use, but YCT may retain copies in backups, legal records, security records, or materials created before removal.

Removing content does not affect rights already exercised while the license was in effect.

8. Content moderation and copyright complaints

YCT may review, correct, restrict, unpublish, or remove content that we reasonably believe is inaccurate, outdated, unlawful, fraudulent, unsafe, infringing, or inconsistent with these Terms. We may also request additional information before publishing or restoring content.

YCT is not required to monitor every profile, listing, photograph, link, or communication. Our decision not to remove content does not mean that we endorse or verify it.

If you believe a listing is inaccurate, fraudulent, unsafe, or otherwise inappropriate, contact us at legal@yogaclasstoday.com. Include the listing, the nature of the concern, and any information that may help us review it.

If you believe content on YCT infringes your copyright, send a written notice containing:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
  • Identification and location of the material you want removed
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate; and
  • A statement that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for the copyright owner

Send copyright notices to:

Copyright Agent
Yoga Class Today
Email: legal@yogaclasstoday.com
Mailing address: [DMCA AGENT MAILING ADDRESS REQUIRED BEFORE LAUNCH]

A person whose content is removed may submit a counter-notice as permitted by applicable copyright law. YCT may provide a copy of a notice or counter-notice to the person who submitted the disputed material.

YCT may terminate accounts belonging to repeat infringers when appropriate. Submitting a knowingly false copyright notice or counter-notice may result in legal liability

9. Acceptable use

You may not use YCT to:

  • Break the law or encourage unlawful conduct
  • Publish false, misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive information
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, affiliation, or authority
  • Publish a class without authorization from the applicable Class Provider
  • Infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other rights
  • Harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, or harm another person
  • Offer or solicit sexual services or other unlawful or exploitative activity
  • Collect information about other users for unauthorized marketing, surveillance, or profiling
  • Publish passwords, payment-card numbers, bank-account information, government identification numbers, health records, or other sensitive information
  • Introduce malware, harmful code, automated requests, scraping tools, or other technology that disrupts or places an unreasonable burden on YCT;
    Attempt to bypass security, access controls, rate limits, or account restrictions
  • Copy, republish, or commercially exploit YCT’s content or data except as allowed by law or with our written permission; or
  • Use YCT in a way that interferes with another person’s use of the service.

You may use ordinary search engines and accessibility technology to access public YCT content. The restriction on automated access is not intended to prohibit assistive technology or other activity that applicable law protects.

10. Third-party websites and services

YCT may contain links to Class Provider websites, studio schedules, maps, registration systems, payment services, social-media pages, and other third-party services.

Those services are operated by others and have their own terms, privacy practices, accessibility, security, fees, and policies. YCT does not control and is not responsible for third-party services merely because we display a link to them.

Bookings, payments, cancellations, refunds, waivers, private sessions, and other arrangements are made directly between the Visitor and the applicable Class Provider or third-party service.

Private sessions are arranged outside YCT. YCT does not screen the participants, attend or supervise the session, guarantee anyone’s identity or conduct, or become a party to the arrangement. Visitors and Class Providers should use reasonable care when arranging an in-person meeting.

11. Fees and payments

YCT is currently available without a fee for its core public and instructor features.

We may introduce optional paid services or change how certain features are offered in the future. If we do, applicable prices, payment terms, and cancellation terms will be presented before you agree to purchase a paid service.

YCT does not currently process payments for yoga classes. Payments made through an instructor, studio, venue, or third-party booking service are separate transactions for which YCT is not responsible.

12. Availability and changes to YCT

We work to keep YCT useful and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

YCT may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, security concerns, technical failures, hosting interruptions, third-party services, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may add, modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue a feature. When reasonably practical, we will provide advance notice before discontinuing a material feature used by account holders.

YCT is not responsible for preserving a listing or Submitted Content indefinitely. Account holders should retain their own copies of information they may need for business, tax, insurance, legal, or recordkeeping purposes.

13. YCT intellectual property

YCT and its original software, design, branding, organization, text, graphics, and other materials are owned by YCT or used with permission. These Terms do not transfer ownership of YCT’s intellectual property to you.

Subject to these Terms, YCT gives you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to access and use the service for its intended purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from YCT’s protected materials except with our written permission or as permitted by law.

“Yoga Class Today,” “YCT,” associated logos, and related branding may not be used in a way that falsely suggests sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or affiliation.

Nothing in this section claims ownership of Submitted Content belonging to instructors, Class Providers, Visitors, or other third parties.

14. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how YCT collects, uses, retains, and shares personal information, including account information, Submitted Content, device information, cookies, analytics data, and location information.

By using YCT, you acknowledge that personal information will be handled as described in the Privacy Policy and as otherwise permitted or required by law.

Instructor profiles and class listings contain information intended for public display. Account holders should review fields carefully and submit only information they want made public.

If YCT requests access to your device location, you may choose whether to grant that permission through your browser or device settings. Location access is not a guarantee that search results will be complete, accurate, or nearby.

The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms but does not expand any license to Submitted Content beyond what these Terms provide.

15. Account suspension and termination

You may stop using YCT at any time. You may also request deletion of your account, subject to reasonable legal, security, backup, dispute-resolution, and recordkeeping requirements.

YCT may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account or remove a listing when we reasonably believe that:

  • These Terms have been violated
  • Information is materially inaccurate, misleading, or outdated
  • The account or listing may involve fraud, infringement, unlawful conduct, harassment, exploitation, or a safety concern
  • The account creates a security or technical risk
  • Suspension or removal is required by law or a valid legal request; or
  • Action is reasonably necessary to protect YCT, its users, Class Providers, or the public.

When appropriate, we may give the account holder notice and an opportunity to correct the problem. We may act without advance notice when we reasonably believe immediate action is necessary.

Termination does not eliminate responsibilities or liabilities that arose before termination. Sections 7, 8, 10, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, and any payment obligations that may later apply will survive termination to the extent necessary to carry out their purpose.

16. Disclaimers

In short: YCT is a directory and discovery service. We cannot promise that a listing is accurate, that a Class Provider is qualified, or that a class is safe or appropriate for you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, YCT is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim express and implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, noninfringement, accuracy, availability, and security.

We do not warrant or guarantee:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of a profile or listing
  • The identity, qualifications, licensing, insurance, background, or conduct of a Class Provider
  • The safety, legality, accessibility, quality, availability, or suitability of a class or location
  • That a class will occur as listed
  • That a Visitor or Class Provider will complete a booking, payment, refund, or other arrangement
  • That YCT will always be available, secure, or free of errors or harmful components; or
  • Any particular health, fitness, financial, professional, or other result.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those jurisdictions, these exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by law.

17. Limitation of liability

YCT’s responsibility is limited because we provide discovery and listing tools rather than operating or supervising the classes listed on the service.

For this section, the “YCT Parties” means YCT’s operator and its employees, contractors, agents, service providers, successors, and permitted assigns.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the YCT Parties will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or relating to YCT.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the YCT Parties will not be liable for injuries, losses, damages, disputes, or claims arising from:

  • A class, Class Provider, instructor, studio, venue, or participant;
  • Inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading listing information;
  • A booking, payment, cancellation, refund, waiver, private session, or other off-platform arrangement;
  • Submitted Content or third-party services;
  • Unauthorized account access that YCT did not cause through legally actionable misconduct; or
  • An interruption, modification, suspension, or discontinuation of YCT.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of the YCT Parties for all claims arising from or relating to YCT will not exceed the greater of:

  • The amount you paid directly to YCT during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
  • One hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

These limitations do not apply to liability resulting from fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, violation of law, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.

18. Instructor indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, an instructor or other account holder who publishes a profile or class listing agrees to indemnify and hold the YCT Parties harmless from third-party claims, damages, judgments, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal expenses arising from or relating to:

  • The account holder’s profile, listing, or Submitted Content;
  • A class or service offered, organized, or promoted by the account holder;
  • A booking, payment, cancellation, refund, injury, private session, or other arrangement involving the account holder or applicable Class Provider;
  • The account holder’s violation of these Terms or applicable law;
  • The account holder’s infringement or violation of another person’s rights; or
  • The account holder’s lack of authority to publish a listing or use a venue, name, logo, photograph, or other content.

This obligation applies only to the extent the claim was caused by the account holder’s acts, omissions, content, class, services, or violation. It does not require an account holder to indemnify a YCT Party for that YCT Party’s fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, violation of law, or other conduct that cannot legally be indemnified.

YCT will provide reasonable notice of a covered claim. YCT may control the defense and settlement of the claim, but we will not agree to a settlement that admits wrongdoing by the account holder or imposes a nonfinancial obligation on the account holder without the account holder’s reasonable consent.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to YCT, our business practices, legal requirements, security needs, or other operational reasons.

The effective date and version number at the top of the Terms show when the current version became effective.

If we make a material change, we will post a notice on YCT and notify account holders by email or through their accounts at least 30 days before the change takes effect, unless an earlier change is reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or operational reasons.

We may require account holders to affirmatively accept materially revised Terms before continuing to use account or publishing features. Continued use after the effective date of properly disclosed revised Terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

Changes do not retroactively alter the parties’ rights or obligations unless the law permits and the revised Terms clearly state otherwise.

20. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Before filing a lawsuit, you and YCT agree to send written notice describing the dispute and the requested resolution. The receiving party will have 30 days to respond and attempt an informal resolution.

This informal-resolution requirement does not prevent either party from:

  • Seeking emergency or injunctive relief;
  • Preserving a claim before a limitations period expires;
  • Reporting a matter to a government agency; or
  • Filing an eligible matter in small claims court.

To the extent permitted by law, claims that are not resolved informally or brought in small claims court must be filed in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California. You and YCT consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive any right to a jury trial that cannot legally be waived in advance.

21. General terms

Independent relationships

Class Providers, instructors, studios, venues, and Visitors are independent from YCT. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, franchise, fiduciary, or joint-venture relationship between YCT and another user or Class Provider.

No instructor, Class Provider, Visitor, or other user has authority to make a commitment on YCT’s behalf.

Entire agreement

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any additional terms expressly presented for a particular YCT feature form the entire agreement between you and YCT concerning the service. They replace earlier understandings concerning the same subject.

Severability

If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the greatest extent permitted by law. The remaining provisions will continue in effect unless applicable law requires otherwise.

No waiver

If YCT does not immediately enforce a provision, that does not waive our right to enforce it later. A waiver is effective only if it is in writing and applies only to the specific circumstance identified.

Assignment

You may not transfer your account or assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without YCT’s written permission. YCT may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, asset transfer, formation of a successor legal entity, or transfer of the service, subject to applicable law.

Electronic communications

You consent to receive account, legal, security, and service-related notices electronically, including by email, through your account, or by a notice posted on YCT. You are responsible for maintaining a current email address for your account.

No third-party beneficiaries

Except for the YCT Parties where expressly stated, these Terms do not give enforcement rights to anyone who is not a party to them.

Headings

Section headings are provided for readability and do not change the meaning of these Terms.
